XI. Of the Justification of
We are accounted righteous before God, only for the merit of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by Faith, and not for our own works or deservings. Wherefore, that we are justified by Faith only, is a most wholesome Doctrine, and very full of comfort, as more largely is expressed in the Homily of Justification.
Truly this is a fact that by grace we are saved but works we will find are also connected with our faith that it will work out like this. At our salvation we are saved and imputed with Christ’s righteous and as we live the righteousness becomes our because we are being infused by it and the righteousness becomes our own righteousness.
(This is my view and I do not push this on anyone. Please note I am a very high church Anglican. I would write more but it is late and I hope this give another view in the church.)
